Customs recently released a Federal Register Notice regarding some increases in fees for the trade.
This document announces that U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is adjusting certain customs user fees and corresponding limitations established by the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA) for Fiscal Year 2022 in accordance with the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation Act (FAST Act) as implemented by the CBP regulations.
The adjusted amounts of customs COBRA user fees and their corresponding limitations set forth in this notice for Fiscal Year 2022 are required as of October 1, 2021.
Some notable changes:
MPF- Merchandise Processing Fee
New MPF Minimum- $27.75
New MPF Maximum- $538.40
Informal entry release fee- $2.22
Mail fee- $6.11
