I'm reaching out to our Janel community to provide an update during this time of heightened concern related to COVID-19. We want to be transparent about our plans to keep our community safe while ensuring you continue to receive the same extraordinary service you've come to expect from our team.
As Janel is now operating in states across the U.S., we're carefully monitoring the situation and following advice from government and health officials in the local communities where our employees, vendors and customers live and work. That means that some of our team members are now working remotely while "skeleton crews" in some locations ensure essential services, that require on site management, are continuing without interruption. As a company, we have eliminated non-essential travel, limited visitors to our offices, and moved in-person meetings to virtual ones. We're confident these measures will ensure the health and safety of our Janel community.
We are collaborating closely with our global partners. Conditions are slowly returning to normal in China, while conditions in Europe and the Americas continue to be a challenge. Our product teams are providing regular market updates via our Global Facts messaging and they're working to ensure Janel is providing the best possible solutions to the new demands unique to each lane and transportation mode.
